Volunteer With Us
Volunteering at the ReStore is a new and unique way to donate your time and put your skills to work providing affordable housing opportunities for families in need. Having retail experience is a plus, but anyone 16 and older is welcome to volunteer. Volunteers are crucial to the success of our ReStore!
Tasks at the ReStore
ReStore volunteers assist in a variety of ways both before and during store hours. The warehouse volunteers work both independently and as a team. As a result, ReStore volunteers gain experience in both retail and in non-profit operations. We have positions that are available at both of our ReStores as well as some stores. Please click on the position descriptions below for more information.
Position Descriptions- Canby and Mt. Angel
Special Projects Volunteer- assembling and testing merchandise, fixing up broken furniture, assisting with renovations to showroom
Position Descriptions- Mt. Angel Specific
Scrap Metal Specialist- Looking for a volunteer who can come in once a week from 10am-4pm and handle, sort, load and deliver our scrap metal to the recycling facility. Any day of the week would work after initial training- even Mondays and Tuesdays are available.
Position Descriptions- Canby Specific
Sign Holders- This would be a great opportunity for a group of young volunteers to get involved in our ReStore! Since our warehouse is located off the beaten track we are looking for volunteers who can help us bring customers in on Saturdays with street signs!
Group Opportunities
Host a Table Event: Host a table in the ReStore about anything ReStore related – use your own idea or one of ours! If you are skilled at something that you would like to either education our customers about and/or host an interactive table – you can help us create a better shopping experience for ReStore customers as well as help us maximize exposure about the ReStore. We will promote your in-store table event in event categories of local bulletins, newspapers, and websites as well as our direct email, Facebook, Twitter and ReStore website. Commitment 9:30-4:30

Morning Shift: (9:45am-1pm) Afternoon Shift (1pm-4:15pm) Full day (9:45am-4:15pm)
Canby and Mt. Angel are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
